The Physics Factory, and its fleet of Physics Buses, has been bringing science to underserved communities since the 1990s. What started as one vegetable-oil-powered bus in Tucson has now spawned mobile outreach and science workshops across the country. I’m proud to have been part of the organization since its inception, and it’s been a privilege to watch these impressive, inspiring educators make science exciting, for thousands of students. Being around their brand of build-your-own science, and their infectious sense of wonder, does the heart good.
